Every Wordle Answer, Counted
These figures are computed from the complete run of answers — puzzle #0 on June 19, 2021 through puzzle #1967 onNovember 7, 2026 — taken from the game's own published data. They update as new answers join the archive.
Letter frequency across all answers
Counted over all 9,840 letters in the archive. This is the table behind every "best starting word" debate: E stands alone at the top, followed by A and R — which is why openers built from those letters reveal so much (see the starting words guide).

Position matters in Wordle: a letter can be common overall yet rare in the slot you are testing. E, for instance, lives at the end of words far more often than at the start.
