How the clue ladder works
Every day there is one answer, and most of us need less help than a full reveal. The ladder gives out information in the order that preserves the game: how hard the puzzle is and how many vowels it holds, then the first letter, the last letter, the pattern of the word, and finally — behind a second confirmation — the answer itself. Nothing past clue two is printed on this page; later clues load only when you tap for them.
